Today it reached a wonderfully warm 85 degrees! This morning Chris' Dad came by and thankfully we are now back up and running with two vehicles! While the boys were outside doing boy things the girls' clamored at the window like a little fan club! I didn't take them out because I was afraid of them getting into something. We stayed in and played this morning. The brakes are all fixed now and for much less money we thought it was all going to cost. It pays to have a Dad that knows a few (thousand) things about cars! Thank you Dad for coming to the rescue this morning!
After nap time it was a balmy 83 degrees in our brick oven so outside we headed. This year BOTH girls are old enough to have Popsicles! I headed off a meltdown and got right down to business! Popsicles for everybody! In the meantime Chris tried to get our hose attachment off the hose so that we could use our new (to us) sprinkler. Well that didn't go very well, hence the Popsicle rescue. The attachment on our hose just WOULD NOT come off. He tried everything, down to threatening to chew the dang thing off! But it wasn't to be and we ended up breaking the attachment, and it is STILL attached to the hose. ...Sigh this was supposed to fun and happy.
The girls are very lucky to have Chris for their Daddy (much more then for this reason) after trying for a long while to get it off, he had a light bulb that worked! He just unscrewed the whole hose and tried to use the sprinkler that way. In the end it wasn't where we wanted it but the girls didn't care it was sprinkler time and Daddy saved the day!

Popsicles and Sprinklers
Charlotte is truly a duck! She LOVES water in any form. She was splashing and squealing and didn't mind getting the water on her face. She also loved stomping in the puddles that had formed. Her new favorite thing to say/shout is go,go GO! Her whole little body shakes on the last one. It is so funny to watch her as she was shouting this at the sprinkler. We have noticed that she voice is going to be on the husky side. It is so sweet! Oh another thing she did today unrelated to our outside play. This morning she was NOT in a good mood at all. The funny thing is that she always so happy that she doesn't know how to act. She doesn't whine per say, she roars! I kid you not! It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. I didn't mean to laugh because she was mad, but it was just so unexpected! Lily has the whine down to a science so to hear this was a little refreshing. LOL Oh one more thing I don't want to forget, she now calls me Momma all the time! She knowingly says it when she needs me/something! She has been calling Chris Da or Dee for a long while but Momma just wasn't there. Now it is and I DO love hearing that!!
Ok back to our programming...
Lily was more interested in watering her 'flowers' (AKA weeds) so she was trying to fill up her watering can with the sprinkler water. At least her 'flowers' didn't get too much to drink!
We played outside for a long while. When we came in we just undressed the girls in the tub and they immediately got their bath. Then dinner and quiet play until bed. There were some small protests but they were pretty tired from all the activity of the day.
Hugs and Kisses! Megan at 7:27 PM
